What are the T-shirts made of?

The pleasant feel of Masherbrum garments is achieved through their unique unique composition.

Men's and women's t-shirts from the Ultrasoft range are made from a blend of certified organic cotton and TENCEL Modal™. TENCEL Modal is a soft and very fine fibreobtained from the cellulose of beech wood. It provides a silky touch, as well aselasticity, breathability and durability.

The first men's and women's technical nappies in the PROCLIMB range are made of a unique blend of fibres from beech and eucalyptus wood cellulose: the TENCEL Modal™ and the TENCEL Lyocell™. They act as thermal regulators by easily transporting body moisture to the surface of the fabric. TENCEL Lyocell is a flexible and resistant fibre that provides elasticity and durability. They are naturally anti-bacterial and hypoallergenicwhich limits the appearance of bad odours and and avoids irritation problems. The recycled polyester polyester added to this blend provides dimensional stabilitystability ease of maintenance and a quick drying of the fabric. It is produced from recycled plastic bottles.

The sweaters are made entirely of certified organic cottonorganic cotton, reinforced with recycled polyester for the Sherpa.

And the Made in France ?
The inscription "Made in XXX" designates the last significant transformation step realized on the product, in this case the confection (sewing of the different pieces of fabric). You should not bet everything on this label: it concerns only a small step in the creation of the product! The production of materials, spinning, knitting and dyeing can be done in any other country.

In the textile industry, all the raw materials, even those of the "Made in France" products, come from abroad: the pollution linked to transport is still present. The most important thing from an environmental point of view, and this is the choice we have made, is to prioritize low impact materials. Our long-term dream is that these materials can be produced in France. For the moment there is no industry in this sense. But some initiatives are emerging and we are working with them to keep improving.

Is Masherbrum a French company?

Of course! Masherbrum is a young French company with a strong strong alpine roots ! Our offices are located at 2 avenue du Général Barbot, Altipolis, in Briançon (Hautes-Alpes).

How does the partnership with Mountaine Wilderness work?

This association, which is recognised as being of public interest, has been working for over thirty years to preservation of the mountainous areas for more than thirty years, by carrying out cleaning and recovery actions of obsolete installations (ski lifts, abandoned fences...).

How do I plant a tree when I buy a product?

With each purchase of a product on the Masherbrum website or in one of our reseller shops, a sum is dedicated to the financing of the Urku projectproject, which fights to preserve the Amazonian forest areasThis project is fighting to preserve the Amazonian forest areas threatened by the construction of road connections and the development of agricultural programmes.

Masherbrum is funding the project through Reforest'Actionin the form of an annual payment corresponding to the estimated sales volume for the following year: all the trees are already pre-financed! Then at the end of the year, we refinance the project if we have sold more than our initial estimates.

These planted trees will thusabsorb CO2 as they grow, but also to provide local populations with better food and medicinal security thanks to their fruits, which they can also sell to generate economic income. They will also serve to protect biodiversity by providing shelter for animal and plant species.

We have stopped the individual code system as it is too restrictive, knowing that the trees are already financed in advance. Read more about the project.
